Lead-acid batteries are widely regarded as practical batteries for different applications. If you have
an RV, it may be time to switch to a 12v 100ah lithium RV battery. Despite their relative newness,
lithium batteries have encouraging properties and advantages that make them far superior to lead-acid
batteries. These are just some of the reasons why more and more RV owners are using them today.
When it comes to cycles, lead-acid batteries are good for 500 and 1,000 cycles. Lithium batteries, on
the other hand, can deliver 2,000 cycles at 100 percent depth of discharge and at least 5,000 cycles at
80 percent to 90 percent depth of discharge.
Lead-acid batteries charge slowly - which could be a problem in the long run. This is not a problem if
you use a 12-volt RV lithium battery, because these batteries have faster charging times. You only need
to wait a few hours for a fully charged lithium battery.(Kindly noted that for battery to use longer lifespan
and good output, it's better to use standard lithium battery charger.). For example:100ah battery equal
A Plus H. H means hours .If you take 25A charger. 100ah divided by 25A equal 4hours. So, as a matter
of fact, if you have a good charger, you should have fully charge battery within 240 minutes.
When charging a lead-acid battery, experts suggest exhausting up to 50 percent of the rated capacity.
If you go beyond this recommended capacity, the life of your lead-acid battery life will deplete and
untimely damage may occur. It’s never recommended to drain it. You will not encounter such a problem
when you are using a 12v 100ah lithium RV battery because this type of battery has better rates of
discharge. Draining it won’t cause any problem.
Tips:When purchasing an RV lithium battery, make sure that the seller is not only providing high quality products - they
should also support all the products they sell. The best batteries will test each battery before shipping. In case the
battery fails within 2 years (assuming no misuse, shaking, dropping, opening), they can replace it with a new one.
